Renovation Update August 20,2007
1. Math Science Building has been turned over to us.
A. Touch up paint still needs to be done.
B. There are some tile that still needs to be fixed.
C. The student desks will arrive this morning.
D. Mr. Francis has ordered some computer work centers for the Math Science building.
2. Renovations
A. The renovated areas will not get flat screen televisions right now.
B. They will begin working on D hall in December and finish in March.
C. Work on C hall will begin in March and last until the end of the school year.
D. When C and D hall are renovated, those classes will be moved to A hall and to three mobiles.
E. The new gym will open November 1st.
F. The lockers in the main lobby area will be moved during 1st semester.
G. The silo is unusable and will be filled in soon.
H. The storefront area is a construction zone and no one should be in there.
I. You cant enter the auditorium from the outside. You must go in from C or D hall. Those outside doors are emergency exits only.
3. Miscellaneous
4. A. The mailboxes and sign in sheet will move to the main office on Wednesday.
5. Every teacher will get a laptop next year.

Morning Announcements

Friday, September 7, 2007


Beginning Monday, Cavalier Corner will move to the Channel One slot at the end of second period.  For the rest of this week, please enjoy 16 minutes of Free Reading during the Channel One time from 10:27 to 10:43.


Students, the buses will leave promptly at 3:11 each afternoon. Please do not linger inside the building after school.


Yearbooks will be distributed during all 3 lunches beginning on Thursday. 




The ACE team will meet from 3:15 to 4:45 on Wednesday, September 12 in room 3006 to get organized for the 2007-08 season.  Any student in grades 9 - 12 interested in playing on the ACE team should plan to attend.  See Mrs. Frisa or Mrs. Stutzman if you have any questions.  


Are you an engineer to be?  Do you like figuring out how things work or enjoy putting things together?  Please join us for a JET's interest meeting on Tuesday, September 11 in room 4002 at 3:15 PM.  Snacks and information about the program will be provided. 


Are you ready to DANCE?  The first JFHS dance of the school year will follow the football game next Friday, September 14 from 9:00 to 11:30 in the gym.  Tickets are only $5.00 and will be sold during lunch beginning Tuesday (September 11) through Friday.  The dance is for JF students only, no guests.  Come and have some fun!  The dance and refreshments are provided by your PTSA. 


Returning SADD members:  We will meet on Monday, September 10 at 3:10 in Mrs. Skelly's room which is located in the new building, upstairs, room #4014.  Please stop by and see her if you cannot attend.


The Jefferson Forest Theatre dept will hold auditions for “Controlling Interest” Wednesday, Sept. 5 There will also be auditions for “Steel Magnolias” on Thurs, Sept. 13.  Sign up next to Room F-5


From the Administration:  During Lunch all students are to stay seated in the cafeteria until the bell rings to end the lunch period.


Attention forensic team members.   Stop by Mrs. Pisarek's room and pick up your NFL performance information for fall competition.


Attention seniors: If you haven't done so already, please come by the Senior table outside the cafeteria this coming Wednesday, September 5th, during all lunch times to pick up your free Senior t-shirt, and also pay your senior dues. Dues are $20 and may be paid by cash or check. Dues cover a variety of fees throughout the year: they cover senior gifts, senior breakfast, dinner, and more. See you on Wednesday.


Juniors and seniors may sign up for behind the wheel in F-4.
