Biju Menon made his entry in Malayalam cinema has had the privilege by doing the very same role that he had done earlier on the mini-screen. He got that rare chance to do a single character "Aloshi", the character that endeared him to the viewers of the mini-screen, did indeed give him the chance to make his debut as a film-actor. And the character was done in a really appreciable manner by the actor, first in "Mikhaelinte Santhathikal"and then "Puthran" on celluloid, both ventures being directed by Jude Aattipetti, but the film but didn't do well at the box office..
Biju got his acting talent from his father,Balakrishnan Nair, a Police Officer and had done many notable characters in films by Late Padmarajan and was also a good friend of the director. A bright student, Biju also took part in extra curricular activities in school and college. In his childhood itself he used to display his skill at mimicking anything that he saw, and this skill was developed by him during his schooldays. He took part in some stage plays and all and even showed great enthusiasm in seeing films. But nobody ever thought that this lad was destined to become one of the leading stars of Malayalam.
