ENDEAVOUR - SPACE SHUTTLE

 

Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour (NASA Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-105), is the fifth and final operational NASA space shuttle.

Space Shuttle Endeavour sits on launch pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida August 7, 2007 as the Rotating Service Structure is rolled back. Endeavour's STS-118 mission is scheduled to launch August 8 for an 11-day mission to the international space station with a 7-man crew.

Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour will conduct 3 planned space walks. Installation of the International Space Station S5 Truss, of the Integrated Truss Structure. Will also have a SPACEHAB module carrying 5,000 pounds of supplies and equipment to the International Space Station, will also carry the second "Teacher in Space" (now Educator Astronaut) onboard (after the first "Teacher in Space" perished along with the crew and Space Shuttle Challenger on the mission STS-51L 73 seconds after launch.)
